OpenAI doesn’t continuously update ChatGPT’s knowledge during use. As of 2021, the model is based on the information it was trained on and can’t access or incorporate new information unless it undergoes a new round of training with newer data. The data it was trained on includes a diverse range of sources from the internet up until its training cut-off in September 2021. Therefore, for any events or information available after this date, ChatGPT would not be aware of it.
