How to configure taxes on Drupal 8?


To configure taxes on Drupal 8, follow these steps:

1. Install and enable the Tax module in Drupal 8.
2. Go to Configuration → Taxes in the Drupal admin dashboard.
3. Click on the “Add tax rate” button to create a new tax rate.
4. Select “Country” and “State” from the drop-down menus to set the rate based on a country/state tax rate.
5. Enter the tax rate percentage in the “Rate” field.
6. Save the new tax rate.
7. Go to Configuration → Store information in the Drupal admin dashboard.
8. Enter your store’s address and tax information (e.g., tax identification number) in the appropriate fields.
9. Save the store information.
10. Go to Configuration → Payment methods in the Drupal admin dashboard.
11. Select the payment method for which you want to configure taxes.
12. Check the “Charge taxes” checkbox and select the appropriate tax rate from the drop-down menu.
13. Save the payment method settings.
14. Repeat as necessary for any other payment methods you want to charge taxes on.

Once you have configured taxes on Drupal 8, the appropriate tax rate will be applied to orders based on the customer’s location and the products purchased.
