WebDAV uses Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs) to identify resources and resources are typically accessed using HTTP or HTTPS protocols. Links, or more specifically, hyperlinks, are handled in WebDAV in the same way as they are handled in HTTP.
When a link is accessed, the client sends an HTTP GET or HEAD request to the server, which responds with the content of the resource or metadata about the resource, respectively. The server may also return the status code, headers, and body that describe the resource linked to in the hyperlink.
WebDAV also provides support for creating and manipulating links with the Link header field. A client can specify a link relationship type, the URI of the resource to be linked to, and other attributes such as the media type or language of the linked resource. Additionally, the PROPFIND method in WebDAV can be used to retrieve metadata such as the list of links associated with a resource.
