How to configure the Joomla search plugin?

To configure the Joomla search plugin, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Joomla backend and navigate to “Extensions” > “Plugins.”

1. Find “Search – Content” plugin and click on it.

1. In the plugin settings, you will see several tabs such as “Basic Options,” “Filter Options,” “Ordering Options,” etc.

1. In the “Basic Options” tab, you can choose the sections to search (e.g. articles, contacts, content, etc.), limit the number of results per page, and specify the intro text length.

1. In the “Filter Options” tab, you can choose to search for specific categories or tags.

1. In the “Ordering Options” tab, you can choose how the search results are sorted (e.g. by relevance, date, title, etc.).

1. In the “Display Options” tab, you can customize how the search results are displayed on your website (e.g. show/hide category, author, date, etc.).

1. Save your changes and test the search feature on your website to ensure it is working correctly.

Note: If you want more advanced search functionality, you can also consider using a third-party search plugin or extension.
