1. Install the plugin: First, you need to download and install the Joomla image gallery management plugin you want to use. To do this, go to the Joomla Extensions Directory and search for the plugin of your choice. Once you find it, download the plugin file and then go to your Joomla admin panel. Navigate to ‘Extensions’ and choose ‘Manage’ from the drop-down list. Click the ‘Browse’ button and select the plugin file you downloaded. Then, click ‘Upload & Install’ to install the plugin.
1. Enable the plugin: After installing the plugin, you need to enable it, so it appears on your website. To do this, go to ‘Extensions’ and then choose ‘Plugins’ from the drop-down list. Find the plugin you just installed and click on the ‘Enabled’ button on the right side of the screen.
1. Configure the plugin settings: Each Joomla image gallery management plugin has its own configuration settings that you need to configure according to your preferences. For example, you may need to set the maximum image size, image quality, image file types, or the number of images per gallery. To configure the plugin’s settings, click on the plugin’s name in the ‘Plugins’ section and then click on the ‘Options’ button.
1. Create a new gallery: Once you have configured the plugin’s settings, you can start creating new image galleries. To do this, go to the ‘Content’ section and click on ‘Media’. Then, click on the ‘New’ button to create a new image gallery. Give it a name, add a description, and set the number of columns you want the images to be displayed in. Then, click ‘Save’.
1. Upload images: After creating a new gallery, you can start uploading images to it. Simply click on the gallery’s name in the ‘Media’ section, and then click on the ‘Add Images’ button. You can either drag and drop images or browse for them on your computer. Once you have selected the images you want to upload, click the ‘Upload Images’ button.
1. Manage galleries and images: Once you have uploaded your images, you can manage them by selecting the gallery and clicking on the ‘Images’ button. From here, you can edit the images or delete them. You can also manage the galleries themselves by selecting the ‘Media’ section and clicking on ‘Galleries’. From here, you can edit, delete, or reorder the galleries.
1. Embed galleries: Finally, you can embed your image galleries on your website. To do this, simply copy the gallery’s shortcode and paste it into the content of the page or post where you want it to appear. Alternatively, you can use the Joomla module or plugin that comes with your image gallery management plugin to display the galleries.
