How to identify OSPF ports?

OSPF uses multiple ports for communication. Here are the main OSPF ports:

1. UDP port 89 – OSPF Hello messages are sent using this port.

1. IP Protocol 89 – OSPF uses this protocol for communication between routers.

1. UDP port 520 – This port is used for OSPF routing updates.

1. IP Protocol 88 – OSPF uses this protocol for authentication.

To identify these ports, you can use packet sniffing and analysis tools such as Wireshark. By capturing network traffic, you can view the different ports being used by OSPF and their associated protocols. Additionally, most network devices allow you to view which ports are active and being used by OSPF by checking the device’s log files or network statistics.
