What is an SNMP agent reboot?

SNMP agent reboot refers to the process of restarting or resetting the SNMP agent in a network device. The SNMP agent is responsible for collecting and sending information about the device’s performance and status to the network management system. A reboot of the agent can be necessary when there is a temporary glitch or malfunction that is preventing the agent from communicating with the management system. It can also be required when there is an update or change to the device’s configuration that requires a restart of the agent. During the reboot process, the agent will stop its operation, reload its configuration, and restart its services.
