How do I add a host to an existing vSphere cluster?

To add a host to an existing vSphere cluster, follow these steps:

1. Open vSphere Web Client and navigate to the cluster in which you want to add the host.

1. Click on the “Actions” menu and select “Add Host”.

1. In the “Add Host” wizard, enter the IP address or FQDN of the host and provide credentials with administrative privileges.

1. Verify the host certificate and select the desired options for lockdown mode and SSH access.

1. Choose whether or not to enable vSphere HA and select a preferred datastore to store the host’s virtual machine files.

1. Review the configuration settings and click “Finish” to add the host to the cluster.

1. Wait for the vSphere Client to complete adding the host to the cluster.

1. Once the host is added, it will appear in the “Hosts and Clusters” inventory list for that cluster.

1. Configure the new host settings like networking, storage, etc., depending on your requirements.

1. You can move virtual machines between hosts within the cluster by using the vSphere vMotion or Storage vMotion features.
