How do I configure virtual machine power options in vSphere?

To configure virtual machine power options in vSphere, follow the below steps:

1. Log in to the vSphere web client.
2. Select the virtual machine you want to configure power options for.
3. Click on the “Actions” drop-down menu and select “Edit Settings.”
4. In the “Virtual Hardware” tab, click on “Power.”
5. Under “Power Management,” you can set various power options such as “Power On,” “Shutdown,” and “Suspend.”
6. You can choose to enable or disable the “Allow virtual machines to enter standby state” option.
7. If you enable the above option, you can set the time before the virtual machine enters the standby state.
8. Once you have completed configuring the power options, click “OK” to save the changes.

Note: Be careful while modifying the power options of virtual machines as incorrect settings may result in unwanted downtime of the virtual machine or impact availability.
