To migrate virtual machines using vSphere Storage vMotion, follow the steps below:
1. Open the vSphere Client and navigate to the host or cluster containing the virtual machine(s) you want to migrate.
2. Right-click on the virtual machine and select “Migrate”.
3. In the “Migrate Virtual Machine” wizard, select “Change storage only” as the migration type and click “Next”.
4. Select the destination datastore where you want to migrate the virtual machine’s storage and click “Next”.
5. Review the migration summary and click “Finish” to start the migration process.
6. Monitor the progress of the migration in the Tasks and Events tab.
Note: Storage vMotion requires shared storage between the source and destination hosts. It is also recommended to perform migrations during low load periods to minimize disruption to virtual machines.
