How to configure backup and recovery management settings in vCenter?


To configure backup and recovery management settings in vCenter, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the vSphere Web Client.
2. Select your vCenter Server instance and navigate to the Manage tab.
3. Click on Settings and under the System Configuration section, click on Backup and Restore.
4. In the Backup and Restore section, you will see the following tabs:

- Backup Schedule: Configure the frequency and retention policy for backups.
- Backup Location: Specify the backup destination location such as a network share or FTP location.
- Backup Settings: Configure the backup type, encryption, and compression settings.
- Restore: Configure the restore settings such as the destination location and overwrite options.
- Alerting: Enable email notifications for backup and restore status.

1. Configure the desired settings in each tab and click on Save.
