How to configure license cost management settings in vCenter?

To configure license cost management settings in vCenter, you first need to log in to the vSphere Web Client using your administrator credentials. Once you have access to the vCenter, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the Administration section in the top-level menu.
2. Click the Licensing section in the left-hand menu.
3. From the Licensing page, select the Manage Cost option from the sub-menu.
4. On the Manage Cost page, you can set the cost adjustment value for individual license keys.
5. To set the cost adjustment, locate the license key you want to edit.
6. Click the Edit button located next to that license key.
7. The Edit License Key page will open, where you can configure the cost adjustment.
8. Enter the adjustment amount in dollars or percentage and click Save to apply the changes.

The cost adjustment value can be set for any license key in the vCenter inventory, allowing you to control licensing costs and ensure that you are only paying for what you actually use. License cost management settings in vCenter are an essential element of effective license management and are key to optimizing your virtual infrastructure.
