How to configure mobility settings in vCenter?


To configure mobility settings in vCenter, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the vSphere Web Client or the vSphere Client.

1. Select vCenter Server in the inventory pane.

1. Click on the Configure tab.

1. Click on vCenter Server Settings and then on Mobility.

1. Configure the following mobility settings as needed:

Virtual Machine Compatibility Settings:
Select the virtual machine compatibility settings that will allow you to migrate virtual machines between hosts that have different CPU types.

Enhanced vMotion Compatibility:
Select this option to enable virtual machines to migrate between hosts with different CPUs. This option requires that both hosts have CPUs that support the same CPU features.

Long Distance vMotion:
Select this option to enable vMotion migration of virtual machines over high-latency networks. This option requires a vSphere Enterprise Plus license.

1. After configuring the desired settings, click on Save.
