To configure permissions in vCenter, follow these steps:
1. Open the vSphere Web Client and log in to vCenter.
2. Navigate to the Administration tab and click on “Access Control”.
3. Click on “Roles” and select “Add Role”.
4. Enter a name for the role and select the privileges you want to assign to it.
5. Save the role.
6. Click on “Users” or “Groups” and select “Add User” or “Add Group”.
7. Enter the user or group name and assign the role you created to them.
8. Save the user or group.
9. Repeat steps 6-8 for each user or group you want to assign permissions to.
You can also use the “Permissions” tab to set specific permissions for individual objects, such as virtual machines or datastores. Simply select the object, click on “Add Permission”, and assign a user or group with the desired role and privileges.
