How to configure recycle bin in vCenter?

Here are the steps to configure recycle bin in vCenter:

1. Log in to vSphere Web Client as a vCenter administrator.

1. Navigate to vCenter inventory object (datacenter or folder) where you want to configure the recycle bin.

1. Select the object and click the Configure tab.

1. In the Settings section, click on the Recycle Bin option.

1. Enable the Recycle Bin by clicking on the toggle button.

1. Set the maximum size of the recycle bin in GB by dragging the slider or entering the value manually.

1. Select the retention period for the deleted items. The retention period determines how long the deleted items will be kept in the recycle bin before being permanently deleted.

1. Click on the Advanced Settings button to configure advanced options such as email notifications for recycle bin events and configuring access settings.

1. Click on the Save button to save the changes.

Once the recycle bin is configured, deleted objects are moved to the recycle bin instead of being permanently deleted. From there, you can either restore the deleted objects or permanently delete them after the retention period is over.
