How to create a resource pool under vSphere?


To create a resource pool under vSphere, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the vSphere Client with administrator credentials.

1. In the left pane, select the data center under which you want to create the resource pool.

1. Click on the ‘Resource Pools’ tab.

1. Click on the ‘Add Resource Pool’ icon.

1. Enter a name for the resource pool in the ‘Name’ field.

1. Choose the ‘Expandable’ option if you want the resource pool to be expandable.

1. Choose the ‘Memory Reservation Type’ and the ‘CPU Reservation Type’ for the resource pool. You can choose to reserve memory and/or CPU resources for the resource pool.

1. Enter the memory and CPU Reservation Limits for the resource pool.

1. Choose the ‘Shares’ option for the resource pool. This will let you choose how much of the resources you want to allocate to the resource pool.

1. Click on the ‘Create’ button to create the resource pool.

You can now use the resource pool to allocate resources to virtual machines or other resources in the data center.
