How are user groups supported in WebDAV?

WebDAV supports user groups through the use of access control lists (ACLs). ACLs allow users and groups to be assigned specific permissions for individual resources such as files and folders. This means that instead of assigning permissions to individual users, permissions can be assigned to a group of users with similar needs, simplifying the process of managing access control. WebDAV also supports the use of LDAP and other directory services for user and group management, further facilitating the use of user groups in WebDAV.
