How to add Google Analytics to a WordPress site?

Sure! Here is the technical description of the process to add Google Analytics to a WordPress site:

1. First, you need to sign up for a Google Analytics account and create a Property for your website. You should get a tracking ID that starts with “UA-” followed by a series of numbers.

1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to the Appearance > Editor section and open the header.php file of your theme.

1. Find the tag in the file and paste the following code just before it:

1. Replace the “YOUR_TRACKING_ID” placeholder in the code with your actual tracking ID obtained from step 1.

1. Save the changes to the header.php file.

1. Check that the Analytics tracking code is properly installed by visiting your website and using the Google Tag Assistant extension for Chrome or Firefox. It should show that the tracking code is installed and working.

That’s it! Your WordPress site is now connected to Google Analytics and will start collecting data on your website’s performance.
