How to disable comments in WordPress?


There are different ways to disable comments in WordPress. Here are three methods:

1. Disable comments site-wide: a. Go to the WordPress dashboard > Settings > Discussion. b. Uncheck the option “Allow people to submit comments on new posts”.

1. Disable comments on specific posts or pages: a. Go to the WordPress dashboard > Posts or Pages. b. Select the post or page you want to disable the comments for. c. In the editor, click on the “Screen Options” button on the top right. d. Check the “Discussion” option to show the “Discussion” box. e. In the “Discussion” box, uncheck the “Allow comments” option.

1. Disable comments using a plugin: a. Go to the WordPress dashboard > Plugins > Add new. b. Search for a plugin that helps you disable comments, like “Disable Comments”. c. Install and activate the plugin. d. Go to the WordPress dashboard > Settings > Disable Comments. e. Choose where you want to disable comments (posts, pages, or media), and click on “Save Changes”.
