How to restore a WordPress site from a backup?

To restore a WordPress site from a backup, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your WordPress hosting account and navigate to the cPanel control panel.

1. Locate the Files section and click on File Manager.

1. Browse to the folder where your WordPress installation is stored. Usually, it is public\_html.

1. Identify the backup file from which you want to restore your site, and upload it to the public\_html folder.

1. Extract the backup file. You can use a file extraction software like 7-Zip or WinZip.

1. Once the backup file is extracted, you will see a folder with the same name as the backup file. Rename this folder to match the folder name of your original website.

1. Delete the contents of the original website folder.

1. Copy the contents of the restored backup folder and paste it into the empty original website folder.

1. Once the files are copied, log in to your WordPress dashboard and check if everything is working correctly.

Note: It’s essential to make sure you have a complete backup of your site, including files and database, before attempting to restore the site.
