You can externalize your mail fetch from a different account in Zimbra by following these steps:
1. Log into a Zimbra Web Client.
1. Click the Preferences tab, and then click the Accounts from the left tab.
1. Under the Accounts section, click Add External Account from the linked text.
1. On the External Account Information page, you will need to fill in the credentials:
- Email address: The email address of the other account from which you want to fetch your email.
- Username: Your username is typically the complete email address.
- Password: The password of the account.
- Email Provider: Choose Provider (Gmail, Yahoo or other).
- If you choose other, you will need to provide the POP3 Server name or its IP address and use port 995.
1. If you want, you can test the configuration by clicking Test button.
1. If you do not get any error then everything is correctly configured. Click on the Save button.
1. Upon each load, Zimbra will fetch mail from these external accounts into your designated folders and you can read them as if they came directly to Zimbra.
Remember that Zimbra is only fetching messages; you cannot send email from these accounts or otherwise interact with them from Zimbra.
Please ensure POP3 is enabled for your other account from which you wish to fetch. For example, if you are fetching from a Gmail account, you would need to go into your Gmail settings and allow POP3 access.
