Step 1: Login to Zimbra
- Use your Zimbra username and password to access the Zimbra interface.
Step 2: Click on Preferences
- Once inside the interface, click the “Preferences” tab, which is located at the top of the screen.
Step 3: Click on Out of Office
- Under the “Preferences” tab, click on “Out of Office”. This option is located within the left navigation bar under “Mail”.
Step 4: Fill out the Out of Office form
- Check the box that says “Send auto-reply message.”
- Type in your auto-reply message on the text box provided.
- You can also decide on whether to only send replies to people in your contact list using the checkbox that says, “Only send response to people in my Contacts.“
- You can also configure the period you want your automated message to be active by checking the box “During this time period only”, then select the appropriate date and time.
Step 5: Save settings
- After you’ve configured your Out of Office settings, click on the “Save” button which is located at the top-left of the screen.
Your email will now automatically respond with your pre-written message whenever someone emails you during the period you designated. You can turn this off manually once you’re back.
