1. Login to your Zimbra account via a supported web browser.
1. Click on the Preferences tab located at the top right portion of the interface.
1. At the left side of the interface, click on the Mail category.
1. Under the Displaying Messages section, you will find multiple options:
- For the “Open email messages in a new-window,” check the checkbox if you want email messages to open in a separate window. Leave it unchecked if you do not.
- For the “Always show the Bcc field in compose,” check the box if you want the Bcc field to always be visible when composing a new message.
- For the “While composing email messages,” you can check either “Compose in a new-window” for messages to be written on a separate window or “Compose in new-tab” for messages to be written on a new tab within the interface.
- For the “After sending a message,” you can choose whether you want to “Show Mail,” “Show Sent,” or “Compose.”
- For the “Place signature,” choose whether you want the signature to be “above the included message” or “below the included message.”
- For the “Display snippets in email list,” check the box if you want content previews in your email list. Leave it unchecked if you do not.
- For the “As new-window Display,” you can choose “HTML (new-window)” or “text (new-window).”
- For the “Download/display images,” select one of three options: “Always,” “Never,” or “Only from contacts.”
1. Scroll down to see more options in different sections, such as Reading Messages, Receiving Messages, Sending Messages, and Marking Messages as Read.
1. Once you’re done customizing your mail display, click on the Save button.
Remember that the changes you’ve made will only take effect once you’ve clicked the Save button.
