How to filter spam on Zimbra?

1. Access Zimbra Web Mail Client and log in to your account.

1. Move to the “Preferences” tab, which is located in the top menu.

1. From the left side menu, choose “Mail Filters”.

1. Click on “New Filter” to create a new rule.

1. In the “Filter Name” field, write a name for your new filter (for example ‘Spam Filter’).

1. In the section “If any of the following conditions are met”, you need to set spam ratings. Choose “Header Named”, write “X-Spam-Flag” in the empty box and then select “Matches Exactly”. Fill in “YES” into the last empty field.

1. In the “Perform the following actions” section, select “Move into folder” and choose the location where the spam emails should be stored, usually the “Junk” folder.

1. Click on “OK” to save these settings.

Remember the preferences will stay intact as long as the user wants them to be. If you no longer wish to have them applied, you can simply delete the filter. It is important to check your Junk folder periodically to make sure no legitimate emails are being marked as spam by the filter.
